“Amnesty International, founded in 1961 in London, is a global movement of 2.7 million people changing the world. Our vision is a world in which everyone will enjoy all human rights provided in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and international human rights standards. We expose abuse, educate the public, mobilize and help change society into a safer world. AI organization received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1977. In Slovenia, the first group of Amnesty International was created on 10 December 1988 in Kranj. AIS successfully performs work in terms of general awareness-raising efforts for systemic change, implementation of campaigns and activism in favor of human rights and learning about human rights (workshops in educational institutions - for young people and teachers).”
