Society Edirisa Slovenia emerged as an aid and support to Ugandan organization, especially Edirisa Smiles CBO and spread Edirisa vision in Uganda. Society Edirisa Slovenia is the initiative of a group to promote Africa, creativity, culture and practical knowledge - Uganda Edirisa organization, its co-founder is Miha Logar from Kranj. When the sponsoring of Ugandan school children started, numerous Slovenes decided to offer assistance. The Society assisted in raising sponsorships and periodically organizes meetings for sponsors and takes note of the developments in Uganda, specifically the lake Bunyonyi region where sponsored children attend school. Society is more active in the recent year, when they successfully applied for the project of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
